Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses targeted acoustic waves to stimulate the body’s natural healing response. It can help reduce pain, improve tissue function and support recovery from persistent tendon, muscle and soft-tissue conditions.
A fast, non-invasive way to finally shift stubborn pain.
Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) kick-starts your body's own healing response in tendons and soft tissue that have stopped healing on their own.

Why shockwave helps with pain
Shockwave delivers focused acoustic pressure waves through the skin, straight into the damaged tissue. This does three things tendons often can't do on their own once they're injured:
A short, structured course of sessions
Most people notice an improvement within the first few sessions, with full tendon remodelling continuing over the following months as part of a wider rehab plan.
Non-invasive, with no known side effects
Mild redness, soreness or bruising in the treated area for a day or two is normal and expected. Shockwave isn't suitable for everyone — we'll confirm it's right for you at your assessment.

What conditions do you treat?
We help with a wide range of problems including back pain, neck pain, joint pain, sports injuries, muscle strains, and long term aches and pains that have not settled on their own.
Do I need a GP referral to see a physiotherapist?
No. You can book directly with us without seeing your GP first. This means you can start treatment sooner and get a clear plan straight away.
How many sessions will I need?
What happens at the first appointment?
Your first session includes a full assessment to understand what is causing your pain, followed by hands on treatment and clear advice on what to do next. You will leave knowing what is wrong and how we plan to help.
Will physiotherapy be painful?
Physiotherapy should not be painful, but you may feel some temporary discomfort as your body adapts. We always work within your comfort level and explain what to expect throughout treatment.
